Almond Court Motel, Alexandra, sits a ten‑minute walk from Molyneux Park and three minutes by car from the Alexandra Golf Course, with Cromwell reachable in twenty minutes. Each apartment features a sofa‑filled seating area, CD/DVD player, and a full kitchen equipped with oven, stove, refrigerator and microwave. Bathrooms offer showers, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. Guest laundry, portable BBQs, and free parking enhance convenience.

We stayed in a lovely unit at the back of the property, complete with its own outdoor area that we were lucky enough to use; it was spotlessly clean and cozy, and the host greeted us warmly upon arrival.

Conveniently located near everything, the staff were friendly when we got there and offered daily service—a rarity outside a hotel that impressed us. The décor feels a bit dated in some areas, and the temperature swing between the living room and bathroom can be sharp, but that’s partly due to the season.

The room I booked had water problems shortly after I arrived, but the hosts quickly moved me to a larger, upgraded room; I appreciated their swift response. The rooms are tastefully decorated—especially the Graham Sydney print—and the kitchen is well equipped. It’s a short walk to a supermarket and close to my workplace. I’m not a fan of heat pumps, so the small oil heater was a welcome touch, and there are plenty of power points.
