Located in Essaouira city centre, Riad Mogantique-Essaouira offers easy access to local attractions. Plage d'Essaouira is a 7-minute walk away, while Golf de Mogador lies 6 km from the property. Essaouira Mogador Airport is 16 km distant. The riad features a sun terrace, lush garden, free WiFi, lounge, and outdoor seating area, along with family rooms and a paid shuttle service.

The place is very well situated, close to a bright Riad with a nice rooftop for morning coffee, and it’s quiet. However, the Riad can get noisy when tourists don’t respect the space; the room windows stay open at night and face the courtyards, which can be disruptive.

The location is central. We booked a small room (which we were fine with knowing its size) but didn’t realize it was next to the reception and breakfast area. The room had no outside window, so it smelled like mold. They removed part of the glass that separated the room from the reception and breakfast area to let in air, but that meant you hear everything. They claimed breakfast started at 9, yet guests were already eating at 7 each day, waking us up. Overall, a bad experience. We asked for a different room; they first said it wasn’t possible because everything was booked, but we saw empty rooms late at night, so that was false. Only on the last night did they give us a new room, but the young staff member was also very unfriendly.

The house is beautiful and perfectly positioned in the Medina, very clean and bright with a great roof terrace. My room was spotless and comfortable with all the amenities I needed. The staff were absolutely lovely, attentive, extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and I felt I didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend Riad Mogantique to anyone visiting Essaouira. There was nothing I didn’t like.
