The staff were super friendly and there’s a gym right next door. The main road makes a little noise at night, so I bought ear plugs and it wasn’t a big deal for me, but it could bother light sleepers.

The best budget hotel in Old Town, Chiang Mai: roomy private rooms, a roof terrace, a very friendly and kind receptionist named Ning, good Wi‑Fi (crucial for streaming football), a balcony overlooking the moat and Doi Suthep, and a cute cat that shows up now and then. The Mountain View room is always sold out 😭 (but no biggie :)).

The staff are adorable and give good advice, the place is clean, the dorm is large with big lockers, the common areas are spacious, there are several showers and toilets on different floors, it’s suited for nomad workers, a rooftop, and access to an attached gym. Great value for money and a good location.

What makes this hostel stand out is the amazing gym, and it’s completely free for guests! That was a big reason I stayed longer 😂 The hostel itself is huge and has lots of potential, but when I was there it felt surprisingly empty. Few travelers were around, so meeting people was a bit hard, though I did meet a few nice ones. The vibe felt a bit off, probably because the place was so big and empty. My biggest problem was the bed – the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and my back hurt after sleeping on it. With more guests and more comfortable beds, this place could be great. The gym is definitely a huge plus! 💪

The room is very spacious, there’s coffee, a rooftop for drying clothes, and you can enjoy the gym next door – that’s awesome. The air conditioning in the lobby on each floor is still missing.
