The bed was comfortable, though there was only one small double blanket, the shower was hot, and the tap water was warm; because it was cold that night, that was a plus, and breakfast was satisfactory. I found the lodge hidden behind a cluster of restaurants on the BR’s edge; when I arrived at night I was wandering around looking for it and could have used better signage at the entrance. The room was rustic with old furniture, a wardrobe with peeling lining, moldy chairs, and only one small double blanket, so the price didn’t match the value, but breakfast made up for the cost of the stay.

The style, exterior appearance, and spaciousness were nice, but there was a lack of maintenance; everything was old and deteriorating.

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms offered good value for money.

The only good thing was the location; everything else was awful—room was filthy, the wardrobe was broken, the door to the room was jammed and required a huge effort to open and close, the sheets smelled like cigarettes, the floor was dirty, the breakfast was subpar, everything was bureaucratic, and it was the worst stay I’ve ever had. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Breakfast was fine, but the mattress was in terrible condition, ventilation was inadequate, there were power distribution issues, the shower heater took a long time to warm up, and there was no minibar.
