It was close to where I was going. The room had 5 rooms and 1 bathroom. The nights were cold, I asked for the heater to be turned on but my request was ignored. My room was near the kitchen. Two people on both nights in there talked loudly with no regard for others. On the second night I had to turn the TV on to drown out their noise.

The room was standard, the bed sheets seemed clean and one of the rooms was relatively spacious. We seemed to have the place mostly to ourselves which was lucky as it wouldve been quite awkward otherise. Parking was fine and the house was easy to locate. Seemed unclean, the carpets definately havent been hoovered and were covered in dirt and hair. Cobwebs all up the walls in one of the rooms, black marks on the walls and overall just seemed a bit ran down and miserable to be in. Bathroom was ok considering it was shared, however defiately couldve been better

None. Dear Customer Services, I am writing to make a formal complaint about my stay at Rubies, Firs Road, Sale, booked for 29–30 August. I arrived at around 7:30pm and was given key-safe code 4728 and room 5. Everything appeared fine, but when I returned at approximately 1:30am, the inner door was locked and there was no key in the key safe. There was a second key safe, but I couldn't open that either. I repeatedly rang the Ring doorbell and contacted . Your team tried calling the owner several times, but there was no answer. By 3:00am I had repeatedly tried the doorbell and knocked on the door, still with no response. At around 4:00am I had no option but to try to sleep in my car. I had to be up at 6:30am to travel to Donington Park for a professional photography assignment, and I also had all my camera equipment locked inside the property. At approximately 6:45am I finally got through to the owner, who arranged for someone to let me in. The key was then found on a shelf in the hallway — it had never been put in the key safe. The consequences went far beyond inconvenience. I had virtually no sleep and the stress of the situation significantly affected my ability to carry out my professional photography assignment to my normal standard. I appreciate has offered a full refund, but I do not consider this adequate compensation. This was a serious failure of the accommodation's access arrangements and emergency contact procedures, which left me locked out in the early hours with no assistance. I am therefore requesting substantial additional compensation to reflect the distress, loss of sleep, inconvenience and, importantly, the impact this had on my professional work. Please treat this as a formal complaint and escalate it to your Customer Relations team if necessary. I look forward to receiving your response and a revised compensation offer. Kind regards, Mike Smith
