Great breakfast. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Room 9 was very noisy; we think the night staff were based above or near this room and kept their TV on all night, and even after we asked them to turn it down it was still very noisy.

The car park and the restaurant were both very nice and conveniently located, though the stairs were a bit of a nuisance.

The room was spotless and comfortable, the breakfast superb with plenty of options, and the evening meals at the restaurant were brilliant with an excellent menu; honestly, nothing was lacking—Mount Pleasant delivered everything I needed for my stay, 100% first‑class and fully satisfied.

The cooked breakfast was decent, yet the toasters clearly need replacement; the staff were friendly and helpful, though they’re working under tough conditions. The hotel really needs investment—the carpets are worn, the furnishings cheap, tired, and tasteless, the pillows feel like bricks, the shower rooms are grimy, and the shower itself is useless.
