“Expérience mitigée malgré le cadre exceptionnel!”
A little corner of paradise at the end of the world! 🏝️ A wild, preserved motu with white sand, a nice jetty and an absolutely exceptional setting to enjoy the calm and beauty of Tikehau. The restaurant is well kept and the whole place invites total disconnection. Huge thanks to Téo for his warm welcome, kindness and friendly attitude, which give the place a particularly cool and convivial vibe. A timeless pause in a paradisiacal setting! 🌺. GROSSE DÉCEPTION CONCERNANT LA GESTION ET LE MANQUE DE COMMUNICATION DES PROPRIÉTAIRES. If the natural setting of this motu is exceptional, our experience with the lodge management by Steve and Justine was particularly disappointing. In our exchanges before the stay on Booking, the possibility of moving seemed feasible. Yet once on site, we found that no maritime shuttle could reach the village or main island for the day. Justine was supposed to come present the various excursions on the first evening, as announced, but she never showed up. We had to manage with information gathered from other guests and Téo. The most disappointing part was the total lack of communication from the owners: without prior notice to guests, Steve and Justine left for three days to Tahiti with the lodge boat, leaving us on this particularly isolated motu, with no maritime transport for the day. We understand the owners have personal lives and obligations, but on such an isolated site, informing guests and anticipating their transport needs seems the minimum expected. We chose this place for its wild character, hoping to explore the surroundings and reach the village during our stay. In the end, we were almost captive on the motu for two days, without solutions or clear information. A paradisiacal setting does not compensate for such poor communication and lack of customer care. It is all the more regrettable that a few explanations beforehand and a minimum of anticipation could have avoided this disappointment.
