Daiju Myoko - Renovated in 2025

We stayed at Daiju for 6 nights in a family room. Beds and pillows were firm and comfortable. The family room and communal bathrooms look newly renovated; the staff did a really good job keeping the communal bathrooms and toilets clean. A simple breakfast is provided in the morning, which is much appreciated. They also offer a drop‑off shuttle in the morning and a pick‑up service in the afternoons to nearby snow resorts. There is a bit of an uphill walk to the main street for restaurants and the convenience store. If you’re staying for a couple of days it will grow on you. Staff were really friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would gladly recommend and would be happy to stay again.

“nice to find another good spot to stay in myoko”

The breakfast was good and there were a nice amount of options. I liked that your eggs were made fresh when you entered the dining area. Not sure if it’s just because it’s the end of the season, but the little beer fridge in the hangout area was never refilled while we were there.

“Fantastic and comfortable 5 night stay!”

The Daiju house felt cozy and comfortable during our 5‑night stay, and the staff did an amazing job keeping everything clean and tidy. We appreciated the free shuttle to and from the train station and to the ski resorts in Myoko, and the breakfast was simple but lovely. The dry room was warm and convenient for leaving gear after skiing, and the house is just a short walk into the main town area where you can grab food or drinks. I would highly recommend this house! The only minor gripe was the lack of hanging space in the room—more hooks for towels, clothes, and a small shelf would be nice.

The staff at the Daiju were very helpful, and the shuttle bus up to the ski hill and back to the station was very handy. The family room with the ensuite had just been renovated, was big enough for a small family, and the loft added extra space. The only downside is that if you miss the shuttle, there’s a hill up into town.

The shuttle service, warm room, and soak tub were great, and the staff were friendly. Walking to town can feel dangerous because of the ice.
