“Lovely apartment, convenient central location”
A lovely two‑floor apartment that I highly recommend; it’s comfortable, well‑equipped, with nice furniture and décor, clean, and has a nice concealed private garden at the back where you can sit peacefully. The quiet location is close to the tram and river, shops, and plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars within a five‑minute walk. It’s a good base for exploring Ghent and Northern Belgium, especially by train or public transport. A helpful guide to the area was provided in the apartment. No drawbacks for me, though the stairs linking the two floors are shared with the apartment on the upper floors, which might put some people off, but it wasn’t an issue. Some of the light switches didn’t work, but the lamps supplied adequate lighting. I travelled by public transport and the location was great for that, maybe not as good for cars—cars and parking are restricted in the centre.
