I would advise removing this place from the booking platform. The stay was horrible, the property was very dirty, and the staff were unprofessional. I didn’t like their hospitality at all.

The concept is great, and I wish I could have stayed longer. Everything we needed was there, the place was clean and comfortable, and the idea behind it was solid. We received a quick tour and introduction to the concept. I hope to return someday. The location is perfect for heading to Kruger National Park. However, if you’re a light sleeper, you might be woken by dogs barking at night.

The road straight to the gates of Kruger Park is convenient. The environment is noisy, dirty, and dark. Local families constantly gather on the premises, blasting loud music and talking loudly. They bring small children who wander unsupervised and beg tourists for food and money. In the evening, there is almost no lighting, complete darkness, and nothing is visible. Toilet paper runs out in the bathroom at night. Locals shout and play music until 6 am, making it impossible to sleep.

The address and phone number listed on the booking site are incorrect. It took us two hours to locate the place, driving from Pilar to the post office. The road was closed with no signage.

The place is super cozy and welcoming. The staff were incredibly sweet, and hanging out around the fire at night was great for socializing and relaxing. There are adorable cats and dogs too. The best part is that everything is made from recycled and reusable materials, and they run a daycare to help local kids. Staying there means you’re supporting a wonderful cause!
