We had an excellent stay at Château Bégot—the lodging is very spacious with high‑ceiling rooms, a large well‑equipped kitchen and a table big enough for our whole group, comfortable bedding, very clean bathrooms, and the setting is truly gorgeous; a knife sharpener in the kitchen would be useful, and some upstairs windows are hard to open.

The rooms were very beautiful and full of charm, and the large kitchen handled 10 people without any issues. The garden, however, was still unmaintained after the winter exit.

The rooms and the floor were magnificent, but there was a minor electrical issue: the exterior switch caused everything to trip, probably due to the rain.

I had a truly wonderful experience in this gigantic property. The high‑ceiling rooms were very spacious, well decorated, and the beds were super comfy; the owner, Joachim Haas, was very friendly and accommodating, even offering a last‑minute wine tasting. Some windows were hard to open, there was no dishwashing detergent, and a bit of dirt on the entrance floor—minor issues though.

The castle itself, the surroundings, and the excellent contact with Joachim, the owner, were all great. A few small problems with opening certain windows, and a few extra kitchen items such as a large casserole pot would be welcome.
