The food is amazing and the staff are friendly, and the 24/7 reception is handy for late arrivals from the airport. The room gets quite hot when the AC shuts off around 8 am, but there are fans in the common area to help.

The staff are very welcoming, the manager offered many helpful tips and stayed available and smiling. The place sits right next to the beach, which is a big plus.

The room is relatively new, spacious, with good facilities, close to the beach, and the local breakfast is nice.

The only positive thing is that the beach is nearby, otherwise there’s nothing else. It’s obvious that a layperson built this hostel, and the facilities are quite low‑grade. The lockers cost 500 rupees as a deposit, but they’re just wooden boxes with a key—very flimsy and worrisome. Worse, the locker tops aren’t glued and fell off easily; I realized midway that if I wasn’t lucky, my stuff could have been stolen. When I told staff, they barely reacted and never fixed anything, so both the facilities and service level are far below what the price suggests. Yet the rating is strangely high, which confused me until I saw the staff actively soliciting positive comments and producing many good reviews. I think this will help future guests avoid unpleasant surprises. I won’t come back.
