The blooming hotel sits peacefully on the edge of forest and dunes, 6 km from the North Sea beach. It features multiple terraces, free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool, sauna, and spa bath. Rooms have flat-screen cable TV and modern bathrooms. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, reading room, lounge, restaurant Zandhoeve, and bar, with Bergen centre 2 km away and Alkmaar 15 minutes' drive.

The hotel was comfortable in the middle of the forest, and there was nothing to complain about.

The location was beautiful, the breakfast excellent, and the dinner pleasant. However, when we entered the room the curtains were half loose and my friend had to reattach them; there was no proper table at a normal height for coffee or tea, only a small one at an uncomfortable level; we set the air‑con to 5° but it didn't cool.

The location and breakfast were excellent. Personally, I found the beds a bit too firm, and there was a lot of radiation (sgeliuid) from the electrical devices in the room. The air conditioning was also fairly noisy.

The hotel was beautiful, with a fantastic location and a sleek, fresh, modern design. It was the perfect starting point for a lovely bike and walk tour, and the nearby Bergen was also wonderful, just a short bike ride away. Nothing stood out as a drawback; everything was absolutely fine.
