“OK for one night.”

The staff were friendly. The room had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was good quality. The shower was fine, though there were some signs of mould around the enclosure. Housekeeping didn’t do a great job—there were threads on the carpet and what looked like paint splashes on the carpet and bathroom floor, and a small crack in the bathroom sink. Breakfast was nothing spectacular. When I was there, there were no eggs on the buffet, so I had to take other items and was later offered a freshly cooked egg, which by then was cold.

The staff were very helpful, which made the stay pleasurable. The room was ideal and very comfortable—excellent to be there. Nothing to dislike; it felt very relaxed.

A decent price and a convenient spot, but the rooms felt a bit worn out and the breakfast could use a boost in quality and variety.

“A pleasant and convenient overnight stay with comfy rooms.”

I regularly stay at the Calcot. The rooms are large and comfy with a great bath and fluffy towels. Staff are always pleasant and welcoming and the food was enjoyable. The dinner menu was limited on my stay and that was disappointing but the breakfast was excellent. Drink selection the usual beers and lagers and I dont expect real ales so drink Guinness which was good. The hotel is so very convenient for the M4 junction. Nothing to moan about
