I picked this hotel because it was an affordable option close to the National Exhibition and Convention Center, which was the main reason for my trip. It’s a 10‑minute walk from both Shanghai Zoo and the Shanghai Zoo Metro Station, and while the metro is convenient, getting to the city center still takes a bit of time and a line transfer. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The biggest surprise was the smart toilet—I didn’t expect that and loved it! There’s also a laundry room with washers and dryers for guests to use, and I was lucky to arrive on the day they replaced all the machines, so I got to use a brand‑new set. One thing to note is that there’s no iron in the room; you’ll have to iron your clothes in the laundry room instead. Breakfast was decent and had enough options to start the day. On the walk to the metro station, there’s a small halal eatery along a street lined with fruit stalls, local convenience stores, and other small shops, which was quite convenient. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel if you’re planning to go to the zoo or attend an event at the NECC. I would just love it if I could iron clothes in the room instead 🤭
