The front desk rang just minutes after I booked and told me no rooms were available, claiming they didn’t know how I managed to book one, and then they showed me that the Omni had a room available when it actually did not.

The resort sits beautifully on Hilton Head beach, offers every amenity for a relaxing vacation, and because we brought our 3‑year‑old son we enjoyed all the kids’ activities; the staff were very helpful, the place was impressively clean, and the food at HH Prime Restaurant inside the resort was extremely tasty. The rooms can feel outdated, as many comments note, but the staff work hard to make your stay enjoyable, so the small discomforts don’t seem that bad after all.

I appreciated having two pools—a family pool and an adult‑only pool—and loved having drinks served right in the pool, but the room service could be better.
