I found the place cozy and had no complaints at all.

We enjoyed a tasty breakfast and found the linens spotless, but getting to the place was a hassle, the room was freezing cold with only a tiny heater that we had to keep on all night, there were no restaurants or shops nearby, and the Wi‑Fi was unreliable.

The slightly crooked stairs from the parking area to the rooms were poorly lit and hard for elderly guests to use at night; adding a handrail and better lighting would help.

The guesthouse and its surroundings were wonderful, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and tidy, the dinner we had was delicious, the whole stay was stress‑free, quiet, and the scenery beautiful, and the historical story was fascinating; however, the rooms were freezing cold, so I suggest adding headboards to block the cold walls when someone wants to read in bed and maybe installing a nice fireplace to save on heaters—otherwise it’s an amazing place.
