The hotel is nice, clean, new, and up to date, located well; you won’t regret booking it. It’s more hands‑off than other hotels, which honestly adds to its charm—towels and bins are changed daily but you leave them outside your room, and there’s no daily room cleaning, which wasn’t an issue (they probably clean if you stay more than 4 nights).

Seogwipo’s Red Hat Snail hotel captured our hearts; we loved it. The stay was perfectly peaceful, and we couldn’t believe our luck booking it—it was beautifully appointed in a subtle, homely, and exquisite way, giving it a lovely boutique feel that photos can’t fully capture. It was the pause we needed after a hectic tour around SK. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we required. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was lovely with a superb shower, and the balcony offered a stunning sea view and a look at the local neighbourhood. We appreciated the lounge areas for relaxing or eating, the guest laundry, and the great local eateries and cafés nearby. It was within walking distance of the Maille Olle Market, harbour, waterfalls, etc. The area is hilly, but taxis are easy to find and inexpensive. We discovered the Lee Jung Seop street only after arriving, which added to the charm, and there were lovely independent stores with wonderful vendors. It’s a special area, and we’d return immediately. We recommend the restaurant Subseom_jeju (Instagram) – it’s around the corner with a sign saying Korean Bistro; the food is stunning with sensational flavours and among the best I’ve had in a long time. We had a fabulous breakfast both days at Lavarr, a beautiful café with a wonderful family history just a 5‑minute walk away. Red Hat Snail offered a perfect location and a very comfortable stay.
