The hot tub was a great idea, the lodge was very private and had everything needed, and the site was clean and well maintained, yet the bath taps were dirty, the bathroom felt outdated despite good water pressure and heat, the kitchen was good but the oven needs updating, and the smoke alarm would go off every time the oven or grill was used.

The spot was good for the pizza, but the hot tub was broken and things kept falling and floating around; the pressure in the ones that worked was weak. The TV in the living room kept crashing, and the one in the main bedroom was tiny with no signal, so my partner and I had to sleep on the sofa. The remote had no batteries, and the booklet I read was full of prices for plates and dishes at £3‑£4 each if you break them, plus the cleaning was too high, so I didn’t feel relaxed. There were moulds and dirty taps in the bathroom, cobwebs in the grouting everywhere, and the pillows were hard and lumpy.
