The 1770 Sovereign Lodge Retreat is a small, relaxed property in the heart of the Town of 1770, a 1-minute walk from the beach, local restaurants, park, and marina for water activities and tours. Four self-contained suites feature coastal décor with Balinese touches, air conditioning, ceiling fans, flat-screen TVs, and WiFi access. The lodge offers an outdoor pool, BBQ area, and shared deck with estuary and ocean views.

The place is gorgeous, but having two fridges without a washing machine feels like a missed opportunity; otherwise it’s a solid stay.

The spot was exactly where I paid for, but the downstairs unit let in a lot of noise from the upstairs room, so the separation isn’t good enough.

We stayed in unit 3 Lombok, which was spotless, the bed was comfy, the kitchen had plenty of gear, the pool area was nice, and the bathroom was good; unfortunately we had to leave early.
