The spot was spot on, but the breakfast felt like a typical hostel fare, and the toilet brush container had fecal matter while the carpet was dusty and dirty.

I was close to restaurants and downtown, and the kitchen area was nice with a light self‑service breakfast. I expected someone to check me in, yet I found a locked door and felt like I might have been scammed; after reviewing the email I received a code for the front door and another for the lockbox that held my room key. The room door only opened about halfway and jammed against the bed. Street noise was loud if I left the windows open, but it was quiet when I closed them. Parking cost extra and I was told to park in the numbered space that matched my room number or my car would be “booted”; the only numbered spot I saw had a 10, which wasn’t my room, so I worried about that the whole stay.

Room 4 was a bit small, but the hotel was great, reasonably priced, had excellent facilities, and was extremely clean – I’d definitely stay again.

Breakfast was fine but very basic and DIY. Essentially a youth hostel kitchen. Our room was lovely with original features and the beds were very comfy. We had an accessible room on the ground floor- the bathroom would be excellent for those with mobility issues/ wheelchair users. We had a missing hairdryer from our room and a quick text conversation got it sorted which was great - although someone in the building to talk to would have been great! Everywhere was very clean. Location fantastic. I think the term 'hotel' is misleading here. Everything is DIY, no staff to be seen. It's a bit like a very upmarket youth hostel - no bad thing, but definitely not a hotel! We had a lovely ground floor room but it was quite noisy with people coming and going late at night. the bathroom was gigantic but there's nowhere to put a wash bag down - we ended up with ours in the spare sink - just a little table would be enough! Also no bedside table for the third bed in our room, i had to drag one across from the double bed. The communal toilet beside the laundry room has a broken door lock. there wasn't enough cutlery or glasses in the kitchen, people were picking dirty ones out of the dishwasher and cleaning them themselves. The parking instructions says to park in a numbered bay - there are no numbers! Just update your instructions - it's so simple. We were panicking that we were parked in someone else's spot but it's a total free for all and plenty of non hotel cars park in there, we were lucky to get a space at all
