“Buono”
The spot is right in the middle of town, but the shared bathrooms are a hassle – the automatic light in one of the two stalls turns off after a few seconds, and the other door is hard to shut.

Rooms Al Festival sits in Locarno, steps from Piazza Grande and two minutes to Visconteo Castle. Opposite the bus station and ten minutes from the train station, it offers transit. Rooms have desks, wardrobes, shared baths, some with mountain views. On‑site Italian restaurant, Ticino Ticket with local transport, and Lido di Locarno and Madonna del Sasso Church enrich the stay.

The place is nicely located, spotless, and the check‑in and check‑out were a breeze.

Finding the place was a bit of a treasure hunt – there’s no sign, so the easiest way to describe it is that it sits right across from the Reifensen bank. Once you get there it’s quiet, which was nice. The only hiccup was having to use the code to grab the keys because there was no staff on site.

The room was spotless and everything seemed ready for us. We ran into trouble with the key‑box, though – the code wasn’t explained beforehand and we wasted a good chunk of time figuring it out. At night the street noise from passing motorcycles was pretty noticeable.

The spot is convenient and the whole place is clean. The only compromise is that the bathroom is shared, although it’s kept tidy.
