I was disappointed by the lack of service and friendliness; when I arrived in the evening, or during breakfast or a daytime excursion, the reception staff never even looked up at me. I normally don’t leave reviews like this.

I love this place! We’ve been here five times and always come back happily. It’s a charming, cozy hotel with tasty breakfast and lovely staff, but the entrance to the parking lot is a challenge and there’s no better way around it.

We booked without breakfast and found a bakery within walking distance that met our expectations with one cappuccino and a croissant. The hotel’s location is superb; everything important—Dom, Gleimhaus, Altstadt—was reachable on foot. Our room was spacious and tastefully furnished, and the pillow selection was almost overwhelming. It was great and almost too good for just one night (we were just passing through). I’d definitely come back.
