“Комфортна і затишно”
The atmosphere was quiet, the rooms were comfortable for staying, and it was peaceful and great even though a market is nearby; the staff were very pleasant.

The food, which is a separate service not included in the main package, was of low quality.

The positives were the cleanliness: the room was tidied and towels were changed daily, there were cosmetic kits, and the transfer at check‑in was free. Our train arrived at Svaryava at 30.12 pm, and it was nice that we were welcomed and checked in even at that late hour. The whole staff were pleasant and attentive. The pool, all spa and cosmetic treatments worked even during the New Year holidays. The location was good, close to many cafés and shops, and there was a lake for a nice walk. The negatives were that the rooms and the entire Sofia needed updating. Dining was a buffet system with a tight and inconvenient schedule. The food was diet‑only with limited choices. Sofia works with Ruta Polyana resort, so expect the pool to be crowded. Some days it was impossible to get into the jacuzzi, there were not enough loungers, and many children splashed around, making it hard to swim. Evening visits were always quieter, but the sheer number of people in the pool meant many facilities didn’t work. In the women’s changing room the hair dryer and lockers, as well as the shower door, were non‑functional. For the price, one could have stayed in a new Ruta Polyana complex with a broader range of services.

The pool was decent and covered, but the doors opened onto a terrace where you could sunbathe if you wanted. The air‑conditioners didn’t work when the mains power was on, and the reception cited a made‑up law that seemed to forbid it; when it gets hotter, this will become a problem.
