The hotel is perfect for anyone heading to or from Calais, with staff that are always on hand and parking that’s easy to find. The on‑site restaurant is great, and the room comes with a good shower plus tea and coffee. We’re definitely planning to return. There’s nothing we’d complain about.

The property has been refreshed and decorated nicely, making it a pleasant place to stay. The room and bed were comfortable, and the breakfast in the adjacent building was self‑service and sufficient. Next door is a fantastic restaurant offering a wide range of well‑prepared, nicely presented dishes, and the staff can help explain the French menu. The hotel sits within a large, well‑managed caravan site but has its own quiet spot separate from the tourist park, where there is a bar and snack bar that serve cheaper, more “popular” food than the restaurant, plus a popular swimming pool. The grounds are well kept and a nice place to wander through the trees and relax after a journey. Guines is a village that’s a very convenient stop between Calais and the motorway network. We didn’t realize that check‑in might be in the adjacent restaurant during its opening hours, but that wasn’t a problem.

The furnishings were tired, there was no charm, and everything felt very basic.
