Die Portionen waren angemessen und sehr lecker. Das Problem war die Toilette.

It’s my second visit. I returned for the beautiful location, seclusion, excellent food, and a hot, therapeutic onsen. I also appreciate meeting Japanese guests because the host seems to match us up at meal times. The rooms are spacious and there’s a shared room with a fridge for drinks and tea. The main host (daughter) is a nice lady. It is a Japanese guesthouse, so the corridors and toilet area are cold. It’s fairly old, not luxurious, and the male toilet doesn’t smell good. If you’re uneasy about driving on snow and narrow roads, this isn’t the place for you.

My stay at this hotel was pleasant, with a well-functioning heater and a peaceful atmosphere. However, I was put off by the strong smell of mothballs in the toilet and bathroom area. It's worth noting that each bedroom doesn't have a bathroom, so if you need one, you'll have to pay extra and use the onsen facilities, which are only available in a shared room with limited space for men and women.
