“Meglio di un hotel”
The owner is very welcoming. The structure is clean and the organization is impeccable. The lady’s cooking is excellent. Prices are higher than average, but it’s fair to say they’re well spent.

The owner is the star of the place, always friendly, present, and ready to answer any request. Running as a family business, the venue lets you experience something genuine. We rented a scooter from a local guy next door for a very reasonable 7€ a day. Breakfast is outstanding—she even granted my wish for a cinnamon sweet in the morning! She’s also happy to cook a tasty local dinner at a modest price. The property is clean and charming compared to typical Sri Lankan standards. It’s close to the Nine Arch Bridge, though you can’t see it from the room. Getting to the main attractions is easy by scooter or tuk‑tuk. If I ever return to Ella, I’ll stay here again! (The photos on Booking match reality) The only downside is the center isn’t within walking distance, but there are plenty of nearby services.

The room was just so homely and comfortable. We loved the bed and although we came when the mosquitos were non-existent we still used the net to make it like a homely fort. The bathroom was great and clean. Lovely hot showers. A great sized fridge. We had breakfast outside each morning and we could choose our time each day and even what food we wanted. The owner loved to overfeed us. She was truly an expectional person and her daughter was adorable. She went above and beyond to tell us what to do each day and where to go! It is out of the main centre we are hikers and fit it was only about a 15 minute walk. Maybe 20/25 if you are a bit slower. Depending on the tuk tuk it was 500-1000lkr (some will try to overcharge so be careful). It was right next to the nine arch bridge. We went to a lovely cafe to watch the train pass at 9.50am called the asanka cafe - highly recommend. All in all really great place! Thank you for being our home away from home!. Nothing
