The location is beautiful, the old city hall, the rooms are very nice, spacious and atmospheric. The breakfast is good and the staff are perfect. I hope to come back often. Nothing else.

The breakfast lets you assemble your own spread from a wish list, and there are many add‑ons if you’re in the mood for something else. Everything was very good.

Where do I start? Stadshotel Geertruidenberg sits in a lovely marketplace in Geertruidenberg, although it was a bit spoiled when we visited because a fair was being set up there. We accessed the hotel and our room with a digital key on our phones that was emailed to us before arrival, as explained in a great short video that had been sent earlier. That set the tone for our brief one‑night stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast options were plentiful, the room was comfortable with a great walk‑in shower, and the whole building was a joy, beautifully converted from the old Town Hall. We would have liked to read more about the building’s history but our lack of Dutch prevented that. We should also mention that one drink from the fridge in the breakfast room was “on the house,” and we took advantage of that after dinner. A really nice touch. Highly recommended. We’d love to return if circumstances allow. My wife would have liked a full‑length mirror in the room, but that’s a bit picky.

The location is top! It can sometimes be noisy, but it’s a beautiful old building.

The hotel is gorgeous and in a great spot, and the room is huge and lovely. Breakfast was fine. In the poetry room there’s no hanging rack, which makes it hard to hang blankets or pants. The light in the (beautiful) bathroom is awful, so you can’t see anything in the mirror.
