“Mixed Experience – Some Good, Some Not So Good”
Our stay at this hotel turned out to be a mixed experience. Upon arrival we were rudely told that this was not our hotel, even though we showed them our booking confirmation. Because of that we had to find and stay at another hotel for the first day. Later in the afternoon they realized that we actually had a reservation there. During our stay the electricity went out for a while, which also meant we had no water for about an hour. Since the power was out, the elevator didn’t work either, and we had to walk up ten flights of stairs. Another downside was that several hidden costs appeared when we were checking out, which was quite frustrating and unexpected. One positive thing, however, was that the hotel host kindly accompanied me when I went out to do some shopping so that I would feel safe. That was a thoughtful gesture and appreciated. Overall, the experience had both positive and negative aspects, but there were definitely some issues that made the stay less comfortable than expected.
