The staff were incredibly enthusiastic, opening the freight elevator after a concert and even leaving a desk phone so we could order takeout when we had no phone number. The service was top‑notch and the location is super convenient, especially if you’re heading to the Hongkou Football Stadium. The only downside was the lack of a full‑length mirror in the room and the AC was weak the first night but was fixed quickly.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and well‑kept, with a firm mattress and a large, cozy duvet. The bathroom and toilet were immaculate, fresh water was provided daily, and breakfast was plentiful. The staff were always friendly and helpful, but the window was dirty from the outside, the staff spoke very little English, other rooms were still being smoked despite a ban, and the coffee machine in the breakfast area could have been upgraded.

The location is great and the ironing facilities are handy, but at 543 yuan a night the price feels steep for the amenities. We stayed eight nights this time and last year we stayed eleven nights without any discount, and we booked a room with a fridge that was unusable because the outlet was unplugged. With the cost, the service feels lacking and it’s unclear whether this is a breach of contract or something we should have noticed.
