The hotel’s vibe and surroundings are unique, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the proximity to the sea is great; having a café on the premises was a nice touch, and the fridge and kettle in the beautifully decorated rooms were very useful, though the breakfast did not fully meet my dietary restrictions on both mornings, even though the staff tried to correct it midway.

The atmosphere feels like stepping back 150 years without sacrificing comfort, and the staff, dressed in period‑appropriate outfits, are very friendly; the breakfast is excellent, and the location is central and convenient for exploring Raahe, making it a great spot for lunch or enjoying coffee and cake.

The historic buildings are stunning, valuable, beautiful, and old‑style, offering peace and quiet in a truly lovely setting that feels like its own world; the historical inscriptions and photos were fascinating, and thank you for the small gift, though the cars that drove right under the window were annoying and I wished for brighter light near the mirror in the bathroom, otherwise the style was fine.

The breakfast was good, especially the gluten‑free option, but there were no fresh berries or yogurt, only one light gluten‑free roll, and I would have preferred a darker one.
