The welcome was very warm, and the setting right in the middle of the springboks was enjoyable; the help with changing a flat tyre was especially appreciated.

The place is super low, you only hear the animals, it's brilliant. The shower water wasn’t warm enough.

If you want a truly remote getaway, this place tops the list; the manager, a young man who openly shares his love for the Karoo, is fantastic, and the chefs whip up amazing meals for both dinner and breakfast.

It was amazing to have so much privacy in a private lodge surrounded by wildlife; the peace was incredible, everyone was friendly and generous, we felt very welcome, and the dinner at the main lodge was fantastic. Just a heads‑up for future guests: the drive to the location is long and only on a dirt road, so when it rains—though that’s rare—the roads can get tricky and add extra travel time, which we accepted given the beautiful, remote setting.
