“Wat een heerlijke plek!”
What a wonderful place! In the 21 years we’ve traveled together, we’ve stayed at many great spots, but this stay ranks alongside a stay in Cortona (Italy) as a shared first place. What makes it great here are, of course, the cozy host Ange, who puts a surprise from her cookbooks on the table at every breakfast with many homemade products (like salty caramel pasta, honey with chestnuts, brownies, and many more to mention). She shares fun tips for things to visit nearby, including a beautiful walk to the town, where after a bit of climbing (not scary) you get the most beautiful view of a river surrounded by rocks and nature. Restaurant recommendations can be followed with confidence. The garden, pool, and B&B are super well maintained, atmospherically set up, and clean. Whether at the house for 8 people, at the B&B, or at the camper spot, you have a seat to sit outside with enough privacy. We had wonderful weather, but even if the weather was a bit against us, you can entertain yourself here perfectly. There are all kinds of board games, stacks of books to read, you can play pétanque and table tennis, and there is even play equipment for small children. In short, it was in one word amazing.
