“Does the job, but could have been much better - at least the bathroom door could have been fixed!”
I stayed near the motorway, which made the trip to the UK a lot easier, and the parking was handy for car travelers. A few grocery stores were close by, so I could refill my backpack for the rest of the journey. The hotel gave me a map that helped me spot nearby spots to visit. The staff were very friendly and spoke English, which was a huge help for us. The room we got had a broken bathroom door that wouldn’t close properly, so it made a loud noise whenever we tried to leave. It was also dim, with only a couple of night lamps on the wall for light. Because we were traveling with a 12‑year‑old child, we were placed next to a family with a toddler who screamed and cried for an hour starting at 7 AM, which ruined our sleep after a long day of driving across Europe. The hotel should really differentiate between a 2‑year‑old and a 12‑year‑old. Parking is billed for 24 hours a day even though you can pay hourly; after the 10th hour the price matches the 24‑hour rate, so staying 14 hours meant we still paid for 24 hours. Even though we paid online, we were hit with extra local taxes when we arrived.
