Christophs is in an unbeatable spot, and because it’s part of the Schennahof, we could use the roof terrace for sun and the pool—dream! The weather was just too nice to bother with the sauna, a little joke.

The hotel’s location is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful, but some outlets don’t work and the bathroom has a bit of a smell.

“Erst ab dem ganz hohen Preissegment empfehlenswert.”

The hotel has great pools with loungers to relax and the view from the deck is stunning; the location is central and lovely. However, when we arrived, no one could locate our reservation, and the same happened at breakfast the next morning—there was no table for us, which clearly overwhelmed the staff, though they were still nice. We were lucky to get a spot in the renovated dining area, while other guests had to eat in the nearby pizza area, which gave a two‑class feel. The worst part was the room with the bathroom: it was shabby with old furnishings that were only slightly updated with modern touches, but the bathroom was a disaster—over 40 years old, cracked tiles everywhere, broken towel holder, bathtub with a shower curtain, etc. The price doesn’t match the quality at all; it’s completely over‑priced.

“Eng und laut”

The reception was very friendly, breakfast was good, and the beds were comfortable. The room was a bit old, it got hot, and the sofa‑couch was folded out, leaving little space. The room faced the main street, so it was noisy; we had to keep the balcony door open to stay cool, which made it even louder. The bathroom is older.
