The bed was incredibly cozy, but the elevators were always broken.

I loved the great, spacious, and comfy bed and the good TV, and there’s a convenient shop nearby. The bathroom felt tired and it’s far from many transport options, plus there’s only one bedside table.

The mini kitchen was handy, but they didn’t provide anything to clean or even two tea cups—just one. The hotel looked unkempt and was way overpriced even at the Booking rate. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed—video shows visible debris on the floor, including a toenail and a hoop nose ring. I asked for housekeeping immediately; pillows had stains and all bed linen was badly wrinkled—clearly a cleaning service is needed. I requested clean sheets and ended up putting them on myself, unsure if they’d changed them. Getting the sheets took four calls, two in person reminders, and talking to the housekeeper in the hall. The keys constantly lost their connection; when I asked if this was common after seeing two other guests ask for resets, the front desk staff said yes and that I should reset them every time I come in. The elevator was broken by another guest when I arrived on my last night. The repair men were there at 7/8 pm, but by the next morning it still wasn’t fixed and I had to lug my luggage downstairs—remember I was on the top floor. They don’t give refunds, so I couldn’t just move to another hotel. This was my first and last stay at Aura in NY; it feels like a corner motel. Booking should not associate with this chain.

The bedroom was fantastic, the bed huge, and the TV great; everything was super clean and comfortable. The elevator was broken, and that’s the only issue, though it would be nice if they served breakfast since there aren’t many coffee shops around.
