“Be Careful With Door Locks!!!!”

Apart from the bad experience with the door lock, the property was clean, well organized, and in a good location. The young man at the front desk was outstanding—very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He gave us great advice and excellent recommendations about places to visit and eat. His kindness and willingness to help really made a difference during our stay. Serious safety issue with the room door. We had a very concerning experience at Monti First Hotel regarding the security of our room. Our room door (107) has to be locked with a key from the outside because simply closing the door does not lock it. The door can be opened just by turning the knob. Unfortunately, housekeeping entered our room during the day and, when they left, they did not lock the door. As a result, our room was left completely unsecured for the entire day. When we reported the issue, we discovered that the door cannot be locked from the inside either. There is no way to use the key from inside the room to secure the door, which means we had to sleep in a room that could not be properly locked. What was even more concerning was that, when we informed the hotel, we were told that the door of room 107 had apparently been malfunctioning for several days. How can a hotel continue to accommodate guests in a room with a known problem affecting the security of the door? We understand that technical problems can happen, but a malfunctioning room door is a serious safety issue and should be repaired before the room is given to guests. We expected much better attention to basic security.

“Great location, clean room, comfy bed!”

Islam, the gentleman who checked us in, was great! He was so helpful and kind. He recommended restaurants, got us checked in, and kept the luggage for us while we went out into the city. He messaged me as soon as our room was ready. The shower was a bit small. If you are a larger person, it may be a very tight fit!

Très bon séjour au Monti First ! L’équipe est vraiment au top, très accueillante, disponible et réactive. Ils nous ont notamment aidées à réserver un taxi, ce qui était très appréciable. L’hôtel est aussi très bien situé pour visiter Rome. Seul petit bémol : le matelas était vraiment très mou et on s’enfonçait au milieu du lit. Mais dans l’ensemble, nous avons été très satisfaites de notre séjour !. Le lit était vraiment trop mou, on restait enfoncé dedans

They practice overbooking. I have booked a two night stay and on the day of the stay they told me that I have to stay one night in another hotel. Terrible experience, do not recommend

“Great location and very comfortable big rooms”

I loved the spot—right in the middle of everything—and the room was super cozy. Islam was incredibly helpful, and there was nothing else to complain about.
