“We will not be staying there again”
Everything was bad, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful.

The room was nice and clean, parking was easy, but the staff could have been more attentive.

The place was comfortable and conveniently located, and we liked everything.

The convenience to UNC and the pet‑friendly policy are good to know if you visit again. It smelled like cigarettes and was very stale. The pool was very small and the cushions there were dirty. The staff on Wednesday 7/8 were quite rude and seemed to have a child helping at the front desk. When I asked about a difference in the charge I received that day versus the booking charge and for an itemised bill she said “you will get that upon check out,” with no willingness to explain that it was a temporary hold. The lady the next morning was very polite, explained everything and apologized. It seemed the bar was closed, and she didn’t say I would have used it; if we stay again, if our daughter chooses to go to school here, it might be nice to have a drink after a long day. The showers are also very small, and for 2 people, especially ladies, there should always be 4 towels included. We made do and didn’t want to ask for more for a one‑night stay, but if it had been longer, it might have been a different story. They also had lots of candy, etc., apparently free for my 17‑year‑old; I told her it probably wasn’t. There was no pricing or “for purchase” marking, so how would you know? If these items are for sale they need to be labeled as such or otherwise it will be assumed they’re free. Just an observant eye and a very naïve teenager.

The location and room size were great, but the AC was loud and kept waking us up because it kept turning on and off on its own.
