It’s right in the heart of the medieval town and the bed is great. Kitchen facilities are very limited.

There’s plenty of space, well equipped with all the comforts. We read the accommodation’s documentation that we could visit the Cheese Museum, but it turned out to be closed.

The location was very private yet centrally located near the places we wanted to visit. It wasn’t the property’s fault; we were unprepared and didn’t bring enough supplies. Even though we were given excellent dinner suggestions in the next town, the restaurants told us that dinner service ended at 6 pm, something we should have known during the low season.

I found the Casa do Leão right in the heart of the beautiful historic village of Marialva, and I loved the spot, the space, and the decor, but what really won me over was the friendliness of the host. I strongly recommend it.
