Grand Harbour Hotel

“Traumhafter Blick auf den Hafen und altes Gemäuer”

We stayed in a room overlooking the Grand Harbour and could watch ships come and go, plus we had a view of one of the “three historic towns.” It was simply wonderful! Everything else was fine: clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, central location. The room was a bit small, which is fine for a one‑ or two‑night stay. Breakfast could have been a touch more thoughtful – for instance, an absent fruit salad and jam that had to be squeezed from a tube. The TV in the breakfast area was broken, a real style break in an otherwise very stylish hotel.

The place was clean and close to the center. The bathroom was too small. At the restaurant there was a bad smell. Breakfast didn’t offer much variety. It was noisy outside at night, so we couldn’t open the windows.

“Such a wow factor for location. To look from the window over the harbour was just the best.”

The spot is fabulous, right on the harbor front and a short walk to all the main sights. Nothing else to note.

The hotel was immaculate, breakfast was very good, and it had everything you could wish for in a tiny hotel. Our room, with its little Juliette balcony, faced the sea and was very quiet. The bathroom was very clean but a bit outdated, and the towels, while clean, were starting to fade. From the rooftop terrace you could see the gun barracks where the 12‑o’clock cannon was fired – a nice bonus. For the price, it was an excellent choice for our stay. The only drawback was the steep steps and slopes leading to and from the center; we managed fine, but it could trouble anyone who is elderly or not in great shape.
