“Un endroit hors du temps !”
The place is gorgeous, sunsets and sunrises are sublime, dinner and music by the fire are lovely, but the quads at 6 am are a bit early in such a peaceful and quiet spot.

What stands out most about this desert camp is its staff—everyone is extraordinarily kind and fun, and despite language barriers we managed to get along with good humor. The owner founded the camp 22 years ago, so he has a lot of experience hosting people from all over the world. We booked a transfer and they took us to see beautiful spots along the route, stopped at viewpoints for photos, and explained things. The camp also offers activities like pottery or percussion workshops, quad or 4x4 rides, camel rides, etc. We went on a mountain trip (some went on foot, others on a dromedary). They loaded us with food and gear, and once we reached the destination they cooked us skewers that tasted amazing. Afterward we had tea and napped in the shade before heading back to the camp. The starry sky, sunsets, and evenings are beautiful there. The sunrise and sunset are beautiful moments that some people like to enjoy in silence; to prevent quads and cars driving up the dunes from disturbing those who are quiet, different zones could be designated for different users to avoid overlap.

Even though the resort sits in the middle of the desert, it still offered a proper toilet and shower, and the dinner at the restaurant featured local dishes—including a tajine—with portions and flavors that were first‑rate; after the meal, music played and the consistently friendly staff kept us entertained, making it an unforgettable experience.

The spot right at the base of the first Sahara dune was gorgeous, and the team’s welcome was fantastic, giving us a very good experience; unfortunately, a sandstorm rolled in during the night—something the hotel couldn’t control—and it kept us from enjoying the stars.
