The location was good, but I had to clarify that my booking came through a private agency, not Patk. Because of fumigation, they told us to cancel our stay an hour before we reached the park instead of arranging an alternative, so I had to book another place with the same agency at twice the price. That’s unethical, and I’ll never book through a private agent again.

The bingo prize money was great and the nightclub is probably fine during peak season, but unfortunately my wife and I had already booked elsewhere, got a call that it was double‑booked, and had to pay £108 for a different place. We ended up at Golden Sands, and the caravan was filthy—dogs had been there, so it stank of dog urine and hair, and my wife had to take antihistamines constantly. We only stayed two days, yet we paid £266 for that experience.

It’s close to the beach and the fairground, but the area wasn’t what I wanted—just fairs, rides and nightlife. I probably should have researched more; it wasn’t the North Wales I was after. We commuted 20‑30 minutes each day to places like Llandudno and other scenic spots, paying for services we never used. The owner was lovely and helpful when we arrived, telling us everything we needed. The only problems were that the caravan stank, had animal hair on the floor, and we were locked out for over two hours because the owner mistakenly gave us the wrong key code.

Location was alright. When we booked the rooms it says no other charges but when we reached they insist us to pay for the passes which we didn’t use at all, because we stayed there for only 2 nights. Cottages are pet friendly but when reached there it was not cleaned tidy, the rugs which used by the previous guest was left on the sofas and there were left over pet food on the floor
