Nice place. Music in the bar under my room. The room wasn’t cleaned properly (not vacuumed).

I was shocked to find spiders and old webs scattered around the room, and the first thing I noticed upon stepping in from the street was cigarette butts, dust, and more spider webs. I can’t understand how this place manages to stay open if it has even had a food safety inspection. I booked for four nights but checked out after just one.

The location was good, but the room was above a man’s pub with a lot of shouting and swearing until 3 am.

We were very happy with the warm welcome we received; the room was comfortable and very clean, with all that we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. The bar was cosy and welcoming with friendly bar staff and a nice selection of Whiskys. We had no major issues, but the door rattled whenever a guest in the next room opened theirs, and the fire door on the landing sounded like somebody was trying our door, which was a little concerning at the time.

We stayed one night at this hotel and it was very convenient; the landlady even let us into the room before it was ready so we could store our bags. Cullen is a small town and the hotel was in the very center of it. The room had a bit of a weird layout, but that was expected since it’s converted from a historic building.
