I loved the location and the peace. Having a hot tub and sauna for ourselves was fantastic! The facilities overall were great. The bed is definitely a queen, not a king as described, so it felt a bit tight for two tall people. All good though, just cosy 🤣 More information on how to use the amenities would help, and note that you need to bring wood and matches for the fire pit.

The setting was twilight‑esque and enclosed, perfect for relaxing and escaping; the bedroom and hot tub were spotless, the hot tub sat on the balcony with an incredible view, and the kitchen area tucked beside the cabin had a mini‑fridge and pots/pans, a rare find on cabin holidays that we appreciated; the toilet and shower were immaculate, and the extra touches like fairy lights and a stool/barrel on the balcony added to the high standard, all at a reasonable price. Honestly, everything was perfect, except for a slight kitchen smell likely from previous guests’ leftovers; otherwise, I was happy with everything.

The place offered quietness and solitude with a great hot tub, but the pictures were misleading—there was no chest of drawers and the condition was poor, rough around the edges, not really glamping, and it needed TLC and modernisation; it felt overpriced in our view.

The location was excellent, the hot tub was great, and the basic kitchen facilities were perfectly adequate for an eco retreat; the bed was very comfortable, and hearing birdsong and bats at night added to the peace—highly recommend Ty Grug for a tranquil escape. However, you need to bring your own towels (not obvious in the info), and we were a bit unlucky with the shower staying cold, though it might have needed more time or instructions.
