“Modern, clean well-serviced rooms off an alley from the main tourist moat area.”
I stayed in a clean, modern room on one of the two floors, and the staff were incredibly caring and friendly. The place sits right in the middle of Chiang Mai’s main tourist moat, close to all the action, but tucked into a tiny alley that keeps most passing cars and people out of earshot—though on some evenings you can still hear music from the night market across the tall fence or Zoe in Yellow nightclub about 100 m away until around midnight. The area is packed with restaurants, street markets, day markets, shops, and the best natural fruit smoothie spot, all within walking distance. The only downside is the shared fridge in the hallway on your floor, and the narrow alleys full of tourists and motorbikes can be a bit chaotic; taxis handle it fine, but bringing your own car requires a bit of courage.
