Sonesta Simply Suites Boston Braintree

“Convenient location, that’s about all.”

The price was what pulled me to this place. When we arrived, our original room had been given away, so they moved us upstairs to a floor that was under construction. We were told a couple of times that we would be moved down to another floor but never were. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Bad. The comforter was heavily stained and had not even been washed; something crusty was on it. We actually bought or owned bedding while here because I asked for clean bedding and was told that because we were not staying long enough that we couldn’t get bedding, but that they would replace our towels. The sofa was filthy. The bathroom sink started backfilling when someone was using water. Someone came up to look at it, said he would be right back and never returned. The vent in the bathroom is filthy. And the headboard had something sticky on it.

There was no one ever in the lobby to talk to; we prepaid in full for three rooms and only got one. I don’t see the point of overbooking if the rooms are fully paid for. The two other rooms caused our group to drive multiple states away, driving through the night, making it unsafe because they like to overbook first come first serve when they’re prepaid in full. They should never be able to give a fully paid room away; two of our groups had to drive multiple states late at night after being up all day.

“Great place to stay.”

It’s close to the airport and the room is big, with a fridge and a range.

“I won't be back again to this run down property”

I didn't feel the place was well maintained, the TV was broken and I found no shower gel in the morning because the bottle was empty; there were several empty coolers at the front that probably once held food, and there were no vending machines – pretty lame.
