The small hotel had a lovely ambience and the front room was fantastic, offering a wonderful view of the sea and the lake district. The owners were outstanding and went above and beyond with the facilities they offered. The mattress was very firm, and as someone who usually sleeps on an extremely soft mattress, I had a poor night’s sleep; it wasn’t the hotel’s fault, as many people would have been perfectly comfortable.

Everything was perfect: the property was glorious, the hosts amazing, and the breakfast absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble, and the standard everywhere was superlative.

Breakfast was amazing, the dining room was lovely, and the location was perfect. Owners Donna and Eric were so friendly that I would highly recommend the place to anyone, and I couldn’t fault anything.

The spot was great and the hotel itself was spotless, plus the breakfast was lovely. Only downside: the bed got a bit chilly because the heating turned off early; a blanket or continuous heat would have helped.
