“Pulizia, comfort, modernità, ottima cucina e autentica ospitalità familiare”
We stayed at this family‑run hotel in Grenzach‑Whylen, a pleasant and quiet town on the Rhine in Germany, right on the Swiss border and in a very convenient position for reaching Basel. It was a wonderful discovery! From the very first moment you feel the kindness, availability and warmth of the owners, who make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel has been recently renovated with great taste and attention to detail. The rooms are modern, functional and impeccably clean. The room won us over with the large, comfortable bed, the original and clever wardrobe design, and the lamps with adjustable lights. The bathroom is also meticulously cared for, with a mirror that has various lighting options and a fog‑free function, a spacious shower, a pleasant spray, and spotless crystals—details that make a difference in a room! The on‑site dining deserves a special mention, offering Middle‑Eastern cuisine and burgers. The dishes prepared by the owner’s wife have something special: they are very good, genuine, and well‑made, with that authentic home‑cooking flavor that wins you over at first bite. You can feel the passion and attention with which they are prepared. And then there’s the breakfast, truly excellent: varied, abundant, and with quality products. From fresh fruit to salmon, from avocado to pastry croissants, to the option of choosing a freshly prepared egg dish specifically for the guest. Even the details are taken care of, such as the selection of tea in a fabric filter, far from ordinary. A breakfast that lets you start the day with taste and satisfaction! In short, a hotel that combines cleanliness, comfort, modernity, excellent cuisine and authentic family hospitality. The only downside: the hotel is in an old building, so there is no elevator.
