The only positive aspect of this stay was the central location and the availability of water at the property, but the building had very high steps and no elevator, we found ants on the floor in the bathroom and a sewer smell whenever the tap was opened, and the owner greeted us in a very hasty manner as if in a hurry, so I would not recommend it.

The spot was perfect for us because we had to catch a concert at Piazza Napoleone in Lucca, just a few minutes on foot, and the cleanliness and sleep quality were excellent; there were plenty of nearby places to eat and spend the evening, though the internal stairs were narrow and steep.

The location was fantastic in the city center, giving quick access to the city walls and various attractions; staying in the attic (really beautiful and practical) meant the stairs were steep, but that’s normal in old buildings.
