“The perfect stay!”

We spent a wonderful week at Minoa Palace Resort. Even though the weather wasn’t as nice as we’d hoped, the amazing staff ensured our family had a truly enjoyable and memorable stay. From morning breakfast to evening dinner, everyone at the restaurants and bars was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. What impressed us most was that their kindness felt genuine—they were sincerely happy to help us with anything we needed. When the weather didn’t suit the beach, the staff even researched and prepared a plan with suggestions of activities and places to visit around Chania as a family. That level of care and attention really made a difference to our holiday. We especially want to mention Katerina from Guest Relations. She is such a warm, cheerful, and friendly person, and at the same time extremely professional. She helped us throughout our entire stay, always with a smile, and made us feel genuinely looked after from beginning to end. Thank you, Katerina! We can wholeheartedly recommend Minoa Palace Resort, not only for its beautiful facilities, but especially for the wonderful people who work there. The kindness and hospitality of the entire team are what made our stay truly special. We will definitely come back! Everything was great.

Breakfast and dinner felt like home 🩵 thanks to the amazing staff and the well‑run operation, especially the two F&B managers 💙—after many years your quality and hospitality stay the same. It was a wonderful stay; we’ll return next year, and the year after. Thank you. We had to leave.

“Wunderschöne Hotelanlage direkt am Strand mit tollem Service”

We usually don’t stay in hotels like this, we travel more individually, but we really liked this hotel. Everything is there: a very nice property, direct access to the beach via a footbridge, good restaurants. We only booked breakfast, but we ate several times in the hotel’s various restaurants. The Italian restaurant is especially recommended. Breakfast was great, with many different good‑quality dishes. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The only disappointment was the room: it lacked a table, and when I ordered room service on arrival day, I had to eat on the bed. There were no drying or hanging options. Iron was available on request, but the ironing board was basically unusable.

“Fell short of 5-star expectations”

Small gifts and staff smiles were really okay. We are writing to share our feedback regarding our recent 3-night stay at your hotel, as we believe in providing honest and balanced reviews to help highlight both the wonderful aspects of the property and areas that require attention. ​There were certainly positive elements during our stay. We genuinely appreciated the warmth of the staff and their welcoming smiles, as well as the lovely gifts we received, which added a very thoughtful and pleasant touch to our time here. ​However, we were quite disappointed to find that our room standard fell significantly short of what is expected—and advertised—for a 5-star hotel. When we arrived, staff mentioned that we had actually been upgraded to a "better" room; if that is the case, it is difficult to imagine the condition of the standard category. ​Specifically, we encountered the following issues: ​Room Condition: The accommodation was heavily dated, worn, and in urgent need of comprehensive refurbishment, bearing little resemblance to standard 5-star luxury. ​Sound Insulation: The acoustic insulation was extremely poor. We were able to hear our neighbours' normal, quiet conversations word for word, which severely impacted our privacy and rest. ​Coffee Amenities: The coffee capsules were not replenished during our stay, and we were charged €2 per capsule. In a 5-star establishment, complimentary coffee amenities should at the very least be refreshed daily. ​Overall Value: Due to these factors, the experience did not match the price-to-quality ratio expected from a 5-star establishment, making our three nights feel exceptionally long rather than relaxing. ​we hope this constructive feedback is taken in the spirit it is intended, and that management takes steps to update and improve these rooms and services for future guests
